About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as the primary point of contact for all engineering project controls matters
Liaise with CEL delivery teams, CEL management, and sector/client teams to identify project controls requirements and priorities
Build and maintain a digital suite of engineering project control systems from the ground up
Monitor and report engineering delivery performance and Earned Value Management metrics, including progress measurement, cost reporting, and schedule control
Establish monitoring and reporting requirements with CEL delivery teams while keeping processes streamlined and adaptable
Create clear reporting outputs and dashboards for project-level and wider CEL management performance reporting
Manage the quality and integrity of data used for project controls and reporting
Continuously improve and develop CEL project controls systems and capture lessons learned
Manage interfaces and integration with wider sector or client project reporting

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field (desirable)
APMG membership and project controls/planning qualification (desirable)
Proven record of leading project controls initiatives and teams within an engineering or professional services environment
Ability to independently develop effective digital project control systems for monitoring and reporting key performance and EVM metrics, without pre-determined scope and with limited supervision or direction
Proven communication skills to communicate project delivery performance metrics clearly, credibly and concisely to delivery teams, senior management, clients and stakeholders
Data- and systems-driven approach, with focus on data quality and accurate reporting outputs
Innovative, solution-oriented approach and aptitude for continuous improvement
Sound judgment and flexibility in balancing multiple project requirements and deadlines
Experience engaging proactively with project controls professionals and teams to overcome interface challenges and progress improvements
Collaboration and leadership qualities, with evidence of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external team members and stakeholders
Eligibility to achieve UK Security Clearance — British National or UK residency for 5 years
