About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver projects and programmes across the North Norfolk region safely, on time, to budget and in line with quality, environmental and customer requirements
- Oversee elements of a multimillion-pound strategic clean water pipeline and infrastructure project
- Manage projects throughout their full lifecycle, from enabling and construction through handover, formal sign-off and post-handover warranty issues
- Create and lead a high-performing multidisciplinary project team
- Translate programme-level strategy into project outcomes
- Utilise team resources effectively and manage performance issues
- Build collaborative relationships with the project team, Anglian Water stakeholders and supply chain partners
- Comply with governance requirements and support the Senior Project Manager at governance boards
- Maintain accurate project cost forecasts with the Commercial team and mitigate or report cost variances
- Manage scheme-level risk and change, escalating as required
- Ensure projects are planned and updated accurately in P6 and SAP
- Lead peer and constructability reviews
- Drive continuous improvement and consistent health and safety standards toward a zero-accident culture
Requirements
What you’ll need- HNC/HND or degree qualified in Civil / MEICA / Construction Management
- SMSTS qualification
- Relevant CSCS card
- Previous experience managing multidisciplinary projects including Civils and MEICA, preferably in the water sector
- Proven ability to deliver and manage multi-disciplined work
- Experience leading and delivering large-scale water infrastructure or linear projects
- Experience leading multi-contractor, multi-disciplined teams
- Experience in stakeholder management, including customers, clients, site operators, landowners, utility companies and statutory authorities
- Ability to outperform against a tight budget through programme development, risk and opportunity management, production and innovation
- Ability to build trusted relationships with key client stakeholders, team members and across the Framework and Costain group
- Computer competence in MS Word, Excel, document control systems and Primavera software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
