About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide constructability support and manage all aspects of construction and detailed design delivery
Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with The Costain Way
Put safety above all else and lead by example
Promote a Right First-Time approach to quality and avoid rework
Manage the onsite team and collaborate with the client
Support the Project Director/Manager in all construction matters, including handover
Provide planning and procurement support
Implement product control and related subcontract activities
Perform scope verification for surveys and design assurance
Support ECI detailed design and construction
Provide tender support, procurement, and construction phase planning for framework tender support and NTP programme development
Deliver infrastructure upgrades across highways, drainage, lighting, signage, signalling, baggage systems, and building MEP/services

Requirements

What you’ll need

HNC/HND, degree qualified or experience in a planning related discipline
7 years+ experience in construction delivery
2 years+ experience in a management position, e.g. Agent
Knowledge and experience of relevant construction techniques, standards and procedures
Experience working within a Principal Contractor environment
Knowledge and experience of Temporary Works procedures
Behavioural Management training
Driving required
Security clearance required
Applicants with fit out, buildings MEP or Baggage experience preferred
APM Project Management Qualification desirable
APMG Managing Successful Programmes – foundation level desirable
APMG International Project Planning and Control Practitioner or equivalent desirable
PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) desirable
Construction or Engineering Professional Membership desirable
Experience as a Lean Practitioner desirable
Understanding of handover processes desirable
Motorway environment construction experience desirable
Permit booking and access requirements in airport operational environment desirable
