About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Planning Engineers
- Develop, control, monitor, analyse, and report on schedule-related aspects for designated projects
- Establish and monitor cost- and resource-loaded, logic-linked baseline plans in accordance with EDF processes
- Capture project budgetary costs and resources to determine expenditure time phasing and total project budget
- Establish robust Work Breakdown and Project Control Structures for project scope
- Maintain and control project baselines, challenging schedule and cost variances against the baseline plan
- Lead Earned Value Management methodology and practice within the project
- Facilitate acceptance of project plans and ensure they encompass the full project scope, are fit for purpose, and achievable
- Interface and integrate regularly with the project controls team to maintain alignment between the financial position and Project Plan
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous Line Management experience
- Primavera (P6) trained and experienced
- Experience in building cost and resource loaded plans
- Experience / understanding of Earned Value Analysis
- High level of numeracy and excellent analytical skills
- HNC/HND, degree qualified or experience in a planning related discipline (desirable)
- Experience / understanding in the interpretation of estimating, scheduling, programming and risk tools (desirable)
- Relevant experience in Project Controls and/or Project Delivery, preferably in a highly regulated environment (desirable)
- Driving required
- Security clearance required
