About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Configure, customise, test and maintain digital forms, custom workflows and automated job templates within Field Management software
- Manage end-to-end software rollout for new teams or clients, including user provisioning, asset logging and mobile app setup
- Assess, approve and deploy system changes
- Assist with resolving complex technical issues, bugs, device syncing failures and performance bottlenecks
- Assist with triage of support tickets
- Maintain API connections and data pipelines between Field Management software and ERPs, CRM platforms or GPS tracking tools
- Assist with technical documentation, user guides and training materials
- Build and manage business intelligence dashboards, KPI trackers and automated compliance reports
- Manage software updates and vendor feature releases, including testing and controlled updates
- Assist with administration of user permissions, role-based access controls and security protocols
- Support configuration, deployment, ongoing improvement and support of Field Management software
- Translate agreed functional requirements into practical technical solutions
- Develop and maintain BI dashboards that transform operational data into visual insights for performance monitoring, intervention and decision making
- Identify improvement opportunities and engage end-users for feedback
- Support Costain and Jacobs’ Maintenance and Response joint venture for National Highways’ Area 14 strategic road network
Requirements
What you’ll need- ITIL certified
- Microsoft certified: Power BI or Fabric Analyst / Data Engineering Associate
- Experience configuring field management or comparable business software
- Strong capability in digital form building, workflow configuration, formulas and conditional logic
- Experience developing in the Fabric environment with Power BI dashboards, including data modelling, Power Query and DAX
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into maintainable technical solutions
- Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively with a Project Manager, operational stakeholders and end users
- Self-starter who manages their own time and seeks to add value
- Ability to address blockers and raise constructive challenge
- Experience delivering in a time-pressured environment to meet client deadlines
- Attention to detail and ability to see tasks through to completion
- Understanding and application of lean principles
- Driving required
- Desirable: experience with Re-flow and Novade
- Desirable: domain experience in infrastructure construction or regulated sectors
- Desirable: working knowledge of Python
- Desirable: JavaScript for scripting, automation and data processing
- Desirable: understanding of APIs, JSON and data integration processes
