About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work across the water storage points project lifecycle and lead on design and delivery
  • Engage with site operational teams and supply chain partners across one or multiple sites
  • Develop construction strategy and programmes
  • Set up and deliver work safely, to quality, time and budget
  • Line-manage and develop site teams
  • Ensure production and implementation of project plans, RAMs, ITPs and waste management
  • Maintain comprehensive site records including diaries and allocation sheets
  • Ensure supply chain compliance with the framework management plan
  • Create a safety culture striving toward Zero LTI and RIDDOR Incidents
  • Maintain commercial focus on project scope and efficient delivery strategies
  • Ensure sites have suitably competent and skilled resources
  • Engage delivery teams at operational level
  • Report project SHE metrics, progress, cost, and change consistently and reliably
  • Identify and mitigate key project risks early

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • HNC/HND or degree in a relevant civil engineering discipline
  • SMSTS qualification
  • Relevant CSCS card
  • Previous experience of working on water projects
  • Experience working with MEICA interfaces and/or in a water environment would be beneficial
  • Experience of managing and delivering projects or packages of work within small-medium-large projects safely to quality, time and budget
  • Practical experience and familiarity of delivery to NEC forms of contract
  • Computer competence with standard Microsoft tools, document control system, and Primavera software
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Full UK driving licence
