About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and execute prospective, retrospective and cross-sectional real-world studies
  • Develop study protocols and statistical analyses
  • Acquire and analyse data from patient registries and electronic health record databases
  • Generate primary data through prospective cohort studies and patient/clinician surveys
  • Research burden of disease, clinical effectiveness and economic topics
  • Communicate findings in written and oral formats to external healthcare stakeholders
  • Work in project teams alongside colleagues from all service areas
  • Complete RWE projects to a high standard, on time and in line with client expectations
  • Participate in client teleconferences and face-to-face meetings after induction
  • Contribute to publications, value materials, health economic models and health technology assessment submissions
  • Work across multiple projects and therapeutic areas
  • Progress toward project management and client responsibility within six to twelve months with mentoring

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A degree level or higher qualification in a relevant subject is required (minimum 2.1 or above)
  • Good understanding of epidemiological techniques and data analysis methods
  • Good understanding of statistical techniques sufficient to engage in technical discussions with Statisticians
  • Technical ability and written and oral communication skills to explain complex techniques and results to non-experts
  • Good understanding of the R programming language used for analysis of large datasets
  • Willingness and ability to rapidly develop programming skills
  • Willingness to trial, explore or recommend new software or techniques
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain customer service and quality of deliverables under multiple competing demands
  • Excellent organisational skills and flexibility with changing deadlines
  • Ability to use initiative and work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent written English
  • Relevant Masters or PhD advantageous
  • Familiarity with real-world healthcare data sources in the UK or elsewhere desirable but not essential
  • CV and cover letter required
  • Must provide details of right to work in the UK
