About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the effective delivery and continuous improvement of key People processes across the employee lifecycle for the UK and Asia-Pacific regions
  • Identify and lead wider People improvement initiatives
  • Support and develop People Advisors and Administrators
  • Provide expert guidance on people management and employee relations matters, including underperformance and absence
  • Act as the primary escalation point within the People team
  • Partner with senior stakeholders and line managers across the company
  • Monitor the HR service provided to employees, including People Shared Services
  • Line manage and develop members of the People team
  • Plan team workload, allocate tasks and projects, and balance competing priorities
  • Manage HR software and systems, including HRIS and performance management systems
  • Maintain accurate employee records and data integrity
  • Lead and contribute to People-related projects, including B Corp certification and People Strategy initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, automate and enhance People processes through technology and AI
  • Ensure People policies, procedures and documentation remain accurate, compliant and fit for purpose
  • Monitor employment legislation and HR best practice in the UK and Asia-Pacific
  • Analyse People data and trends to drive process improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 3 years' experience in a People Manager, HR Manager, or similar role
  • Proven experience managing HR processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, salary reviews, bonus scheme administration, internal promotions and performance reviews
  • Experience providing advice and guidance on people management/employee relations matters and employment-related policies and procedures
  • Experience leading projects or process improvement initiatives within a People or HR function
  • Experience using HR systems, workflow automation tools, AI tools or data reporting platforms
  • Experience line managing and developing members of a People or HR team
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Sound judgement, discretion, and experience handling confidential or sensitive information
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commercial awareness
  • Collaborative approach and ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation
  • Interest in using technology, automation and AI to improve ways of working
  • Ability to analyse information and identify trends to support decision-making
  • A Level 5 CIPD qualification or another relevant HR qualification (desired)
  • Experience working within a fast-growing global organisation, particularly in the UK and/or Asia-Pacific region (desired)
