About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and develop high-quality, maintainable software modules for Cotiviti’s product suite
Conduct unit and integration testing using appropriate methodologies and techniques
Analyze requirements and specifications and create detailed implementation designs
Analyze and resolve software issues originating from internal or external customers
Continuously update professional knowledge of technologies selected for the product suite
Manage change control and maintain information in written and electronic form
Review software engineering approaches to proposed solutions for adherence to best practices
Mentor team members in software engineering methods and techniques
Collaborate with Senior Developers, QA, Product Owners, Project Management, and other stakeholders
Complete annual performance-review goals, special projects, and other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent work experience
2-3 years' experience with software engineering best practices such as continuous integration, unit testing, refactoring, and code reviews
Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle Methodologies with exposure to or participation in Agile/Scrum techniques
Strong understanding of OOP and common design patterns
Proficiency working with large data sets
Experience optimizing and tuning SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers
Ability to execute project deliverables within estimated timelines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
2-3 years' experience with Java or Python
2-3 years' experience with VBScript or PowerShell
2-3 years' experience with Microsoft SQL Server, HBASE, or Hive
2-3 years' experience with React, Cloudera Hadoop, or Appian
2-3 years' experience with web services using Java/Spring Boot
2-3 years' experience in container technology and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
2-3 years' experience with Kafka stream processing using Kafka Streams and KSQL
2-3 years' experience with Git
Experience with Atlassian suite, including Jira and Confluence, is an added advantage
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area
Must be able to provide high-speed internet access / connectivity and office setup and maintenance
