About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and develop high quality, maintainable software modules for Cotiviti software products
Conduct unit and integration testing using appropriate methodologies and techniques
Analyze requirements and specifications and create detailed implementation designs
Perform change control management and maintain information in written and electronic form
Review software engineering approaches to ensure adherence to best practices
Support analytics systems and applications for in-house client support partners
Become a subject matter expert for end-to-end Cotiviti client-facing solutions for design, development, and troubleshooting
Analyze and resolve software-related issues from internal or external customers
Troubleshoot and resolve issues collaboratively within and across Cotiviti teams
Document application specifications, design, features, and operation
Execute or recommend solution enhancements to improve performance and availability
Communicate technical and operational issues to engineering and business leadership
Ensure technology standards are followed during system development
Explore and implement innovative process or system improvements
Continuously improve knowledge of technologies integrated into the Cotiviti product suite
Execute all appropriate facets of the Cotiviti Software Development Lifecycle
Mentor and share knowledge with other developers and technicians
Complete annual Performance Plan responsibilities and assigned special projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS or MS Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
3+ years of industry experience
3+ years experience with Java
3+ years experience with databases: Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, and/or PostgreSQL
3+ years’ experience in SQL development on Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, and/or PostgreSQL
3+ years’ experience troubleshooting production issues in enterprise Java applications backed by relational databases
Experience with Java frameworks, such as Spring or Spring Boot
Frontend development experience with Angular, React, and/or Vue
Must have 2+ years’ Healthcare data experience
Optimization and tuning of SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers
Experience and expertise in resolving issues in production and client-facing environments
Proficiency working with large datasets
Ability to analyze requirements and design solutions
Experience with Git/Bitbucket and Jenkins a plus; code versioning/repositories a must
Advanced understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design
Strong knowledge and application of SAFe agile practices preferred
Knowledge of one or more enterprise scheduling tools
Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area
Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
