About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead key accounting activities
- Oversee financial reporting, accounting policies and controls, regulatory reporting, and maintenance of accurate accounting records
- Coordinate preparation of financial statements and related schedules/exhibits for internal management and regulatory agencies
- Oversee compliance with statutory accounting principles and procedures, generally accepted accounting practices and procedures, and regulatory and external financial filing requirements
- Research and implement changes in accounting rules, regulatory filing requirements, organization, and company operations
- Provide guidance to other areas regarding financial reporting requirements
- Manage implementation and maintenance of disaster recovery plans and activities
- Maintain current contact information for applicable employees and communicate with non-recovery employees during a disaster
- Provide leadership to the finance and accounting team by developing talent, strengthening processes, and ensuring efficient operation of the financial reporting function
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training, including management experience
- CPA preferred
- Audit knowledge
- Experience with regulatory filings
- Experience with financial statement filings
