About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Protect and enhance COUNTRY Financial’s reputation through content strategy and external communication efforts
  • Develop content plans, messages, and delivery strategies aligned with corporate objectives and values
  • Create, produce, and edit podcasts and social media content
  • Serve as spokesperson with newspaper, magazine, radio, television, trade press, and social media
  • Train leadership and company spokespeople to deliver external communications
  • Monitor reputational threats and recommend reputation-management strategies
  • Analyze, recommend, develop, and implement news media strategies
  • Support corporate project teams as a Public Affairs and Media Relations representative

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training
  • Proven experience leading external communications or public relations strategies
  • Strong media relations and messaging expertise
  • Ability to partner with executive leaders and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills
  • Experience creating, producing, and editing content across podcasts, social media, traditional media, and other digital channels
  • Experience in regulated, corporate, or service-driven environments
  • Insurance or financial services experience preferred
