  • Source, underwrite, negotiate, and manage private placement and Credit Tenant Loan investments
  • Conduct comprehensive credit, structural, and relative-value analysis across privately placed debt opportunities
  • Monitor market conditions, issuer fundamentals, credit quality, collateral performance, and portfolio exposures
  • Underwrite and negotiate terms and pricing of commercial mortgage investments
  • Monitor existing mortgage portfolios
  • Manage workout situations and real estate owned portfolios
  • Contribute to security selection, valuation analysis, security trading, portfolio management, performance monitoring, and evaluation of investment strategies
  • Evaluate new investment technologies, strategies, and vehicles
  • Provide market insights and contribute to economic outlooks for corporate planning
  • Collaborate on risk management, income and yield maintenance, asset-liability matching, liquidity management, cash flow modeling, and institutional asset management activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or progress towards completion
  • Significant experience managing private placement or commercial mortgage investments for an insurance company, pension plan, asset manager, or other institutional investor
  • Experience with sourcing, underwriting, structuring, negotiating, and monitoring private placement debt or commercial mortgage investments
  • Independent judgment and communication skills to influence investment decisions
  • Ability to conduct credit, structural, and relative-value analysis
  • Ability to monitor market conditions, issuer fundamentals, credit quality, collateral performance, and portfolio exposures
