About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, test, and deploy autonomous and semi-autonomous AI agents using Google ADK and Vertex AI
Build production-grade AI solutions using Vertex AI model training, fine-tuning, vector search, and orchestration
Own the end-to-end technical lifecycle of Google Cloud AI projects from proof of concept through production deployment
Integrate AI agents with Gemini Enterprise, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, and enterprise data sources
Partner with business stakeholders, QA Specialists, and Cloud Engineers to deliver reliable and scalable solutions
Implement and monitor responsible AI safeguards including bias detection, explainability, compliance monitoring, and operational limits
Contribute to multi-agent architecture, framework, tool, and orchestration selection
Rapidly prototype solutions, test them with users, and iterate based on observed usage
Design and maintain MCP servers, connectors, and tool layers for governed access to Coupa systems and data
Select models and frameworks across Claude, Gemini, and open models while balancing cost, latency, and accuracy
Measure deployment impact including usage, cycle-time reduction, hours returned, errors, and escalations
Apply security, privacy, data-handling, and responsible AI guardrails in collaboration with Security, Legal, and Data Governance
Create runbooks, monitoring, documentation, reusable patterns, templates, and train business owners
Monitor production agent performance and improve models, prompts, grounding strategies, and agent logic

Requirements

What you’ll need

3–5+ years of experience in software engineering, data science, or AI/ML solution delivery
Demonstrated Google Cloud Platform expertise
Hands-on experience with Google Vertex AI, model deployment, endpoint management, and AI agent development
Strong knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals and agentic AI patterns such as ReAct, planning, tool use, and function calling
Experience with Google ADK or Vertex AI Agent Builder
Proficiency in Python, Google ADK, Vertex AI SDK, pandas, scikit-learn, and TensorFlow/JAX
Experience with Google Cloud Platform services including Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, and Pub/Sub
Knowledge of MLOps principles including Vertex AI Pipelines and CI/CD
Success building and deploying AI/ML models and solutions into production on cloud platforms
Experience in a forward deployed role owning business outcomes
Experience integrating AI or automation into enterprise SaaS platforms through REST APIs, webhooks, event streams, or middleware
Strong written communication and ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Working knowledge of at least one non-Google model provider and its tooling, such as Anthropic Claude or OpenAI
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
