About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead, coach, and empower a cross-functional development team
Drive development of Coupa Risk and evolve risk-scoring capabilities
Partner with engineering managers and architects on process improvements
Lead adoption of technologies such as AI-assisted log querying and multi-skill orchestrators
Oversee architectural advancements and maintain engineering standards
Ensure delivery of scalable microservices and robust integrations
Establish trust and coordinate with product management, support, cloud operations, and engineering teams
Align the team roadmap with the broader Risk Aware vision
Partner with recruiting to grow the team
Provide feedback, create career action plans, and foster mentorship
Track business and technical metrics including delivery speed, code quality, and security posture
Collaborate across product and engineering teams to integrate AI-driven risk insights and drive continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need

12+ years of experience building enterprise SaaS web applications
Experience with .NET, SQL, and TypeScript
Strong knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5
5+ years of relevant technical lead or management experience
Proven track record of growing into management from a successful individual contributor role
Strong background in web application or platform development
Ability to understand complex technical architectures, review design work, and provide meaningful feedback across technology stacks
Experience with CI/CD, code reviews, and delivery of testable code
Interest in risk-based software solutions
Familiarity with complex data and regulatory compliance, including DORA and GDPR
Strong listening, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to translate complex functional requirements into clear technical tasks
Ability to manage priorities in a high-growth environment and set stakeholder expectations
Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes
Ability to pivot as project roadmaps evolve
