About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support a dedicated full-stack development team building Coupa’s Business Spend Management platform
- Lead and manage a high-performing agile team of 5–8 full-stack engineers
- Mentor engineers and provide technical and career guidance
- Lead problem-solving sessions, review architectural designs, and conduct code reviews
- Ensure robust, secure, maintainable enterprise-grade code
- Balance high-quality product development with fast code delivery
- Partner with Product Management to break down feature specifications and manage sprint priorities
- Develop engineers’ career plans and provide continuous feedback
- Assign project work aligned with engineers’ skills and aspirations
- Coordinate with distributed product management, support, cloud operations, and peer engineering teams
- Help scale the platform while balancing a consolidated codebase with microservices using .NET and React
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of prior relevant technical lead or management experience
- At least 6+ years of hands-on experience building SaaS products
- Experience growing into management from an individual contributor role
- Deep familiarity with C# / .NET Core APIs
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React
- Deep familiarity with agile (Scrum) development processes
- Experience with CI/CD best practices
- Strong engineering discipline and process orientation
- Experience conducting code reviews
- Experience delivering unit and integration tests with feature delivery
- Strong listening, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate functional requirements into technical designs
