About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and develop scalable, reliable, and secure platform services and frameworks
Drive architecture decisions and contribute to long-term platform strategy
Collaborate with engineering teams to understand requirements and provide platform solutions
Improve system performance, observability, and operational efficiency
Ensure best practices in code quality
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a strong engineering culture
Proactively identify and resolve technical risks, bottlenecks, and production issues
Design, build, and scale foundational platform services powering multiple products and teams
Drive technical excellence, developer productivity, reliability, scalability, and security across the platform

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
2+ years of experience in software development, preferably in platform or backend engineering
Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, Go, or similar
Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Solid understanding of APIs, system design, and scalable architecture patterns
Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes
Experience with observability tools, including monitoring and logging, and familiarity with DevOps practices
Hands-on experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and in-memory key-value stores such as Redis
Solid understanding of data modeling, query optimization, and database performance tuning
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
