About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive new commercial business revenue by prospecting, building a strong referral network, and using tech-enabled tools to manage the sales pipeline
  • Win new accounts nationally across multiple states using broad carrier access to quote, place, and close business
  • Act as a trusted risk advisor by assessing prospects' exposures and recommending appropriate coverage, including GL, Property, BOP, Workers' Comp, Commercial Auto, and Umbrella
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities to round out accounts and grow premium
  • Deliver a client experience that exceeds expectations, earning loyalty, retention, and referrals
  • Run a book of business with autonomy while collaborating with a support team
  • Protect business operations, employees, property, and future through commercial insurance advice

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active P&C license in 5 or more states, with particular need in (but not limited to) TX, FL, NY, CA and MA
  • 5+ years of demonstrated success as a licensed agent, with a focus on commercial lines new business sales
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding new business sales targets, ideally selling nationally
  • Deep understanding of commercial insurance products, policies and carrier underwriting guidelines
  • Hands-on experience using agency management systems such as Applied Epic, AMS360, HawkSoft, or EZLynx
  • Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline in modern CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, or Zoho
  • Hunter mentality with a relentless drive to win new business
  • Exceptional communication and persuasion skills, with the ability to build rapport with business owners and close effectively
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to own financial success
  • Detail-oriented, organized approach to managing pipeline and accounts
  • Comfort learning new technology
  • Use of real-time AI assistance, screen-reading software, or external aids during the application process is strictly prohibited
