About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the loyalty champion and improve customer user journeys during onboarding and after sign-up
  • Drive subscriber retention and commercial performance
  • Increase monetisation through cross-sell, re-sell, and up-sell
  • Review existing data systems and benchmark current performance
  • Develop and implement a clear customer marketing strategy and roadmap
  • Align colleagues and sister teams through project management and production planning
  • Produce and launch customer marketing activity hands-on
  • Own proactive and reactive campaigns and manage customer journeys
  • Monitor email and SMS performance and track KPIs
  • Lead, coach, and mentor the Customer Marketing team
  • Collaborate with Acquisition, Brand, Website, Commerce, Tech, Customer Service, and Product teams
  • Report to the CSMO and provide leadership within the Sales & Marketing department

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Willingness to work as a player-manager and contribute from an implementation perspective
  • Ability to dig into data, solve problems, and identify opportunities
  • Experience or aptitude for developing and leading a small team
  • Ability to shape initiatives from scratch
  • Ability to manage uncertainty and complexity and deliver solutions
  • Commitment to excellent work and measuring results
  • Audit current data systems and benchmark performance
  • Identify strategic direction and create an actionable roadmap
  • Coordinate colleagues and sister teams through project management and production planning
  • Manage campaigns and customer journeys across customer types
  • Monitor performance and track KPIs across email and SMS
  • Lead, direct, coach, and mentor the Customer Marketing team
  • Manage stakeholders and collaborate across the business
