About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor receipt of new and renewing cases
  • Log all cases in and out of internal systems, including Salesforce
  • Enter new business and renewal data in carrier systems
  • Confirm Agent/Agency appointments on new cases
  • Send necessary appointments to Agent/Agency and follow up through completion
  • Follow up with carriers to obtain carrier approval and policy numbers
  • Communicate approved policies to brokers
  • Assist in generating carrier quotes
  • Handle COBRA
  • Maintain standard operating procedures for censuses and installations
  • Support special projects and perform other assigned duties
  • Serve as the operational link between brokers and carriers for new and renewing group health and benefits cases
  • Collaborate with Sales, New Business Analysts, and carrier partners to build censuses, run final quotes, install cases, and track cases through carrier approvals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • English language fluency required
  • Minimum of 2 years related administrative experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce
  • Good understanding of group insurance and carrier procedures
  • Knowledge of insurance sales submission requirements
  • Clear written and verbal communication with internal teams, agents, brokers, and carrier representatives
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to read, comprehend, and interpret enrollment, carrier, and other job-related documents
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills; ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
  • Type a minimum of 30 words per minute
  • Ability to develop and maintain good relationships at all levels within the company and with agents, brokers, and/or carrier representatives
  • Ability to build and maintain productive relationships at all levels and contribute to a positive team environment
  • Ability to sit, frequently speak and hear, and occasionally stand, walk, bend, crawl, kneel, and lift up to 25 lbs
