About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide process, design and analysis support for developing solutions that interface business applications
- Drive requirements elicitation for work efforts of all sizes and complexity
- Influence collaboration, communication and outcomes of initiatives in an indirect leadership capacity
- Lead systems analysis through enterprise-level business processes and systems
- Provide project and portfolio management for smaller projects and business enhancements
- Serve as a liaison between lines of business and the Technology Delivery team
- Identify, document and communicate business needs and provide technology solutions
- Analyze business processes, workflows and existing business systems
- Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions and walkthroughs
- Prepare user interface, business process and workflow diagrams
- Develop acceptance criteria and plans for user acceptance testing
- Assist with business cases, project estimates, risk assessments, stakeholder analyses and draft charters
- Facilitate routine meetings and provide updates on initiatives
- Attend business unit management meetings as needed
- Ensure adherence to Technology and CRC Group policies and standards, including SDLC and Change Management
- Coach and mentor junior Business Analysts
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience to include six years of information technology experience with significant experience in software development
- Four years of experience as a business analyst or related role/experience
- Experience in Project Management, Business Process Management, Relationship Management, Business Operations, or Quality Management
- Experience planning, facilitating, eliciting, documenting and managing business, functional and technical requirements
- Experience with traditional Waterfall SDLC and/or Agile/Lean methodologies
- Ability to interact with management, business staff, Engineering and QA personnel to gather, compile and exchange information and negotiate disputes effectively
- Strong presentation, verbal and written skills
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, activities and tasks under time constraints
- Ability to effectively interface with staff at all levels and resolve conflicts
- Exceptional communication, teamwork and influencing skills
- Excellent facilitation and organizational skills
- Strong critical and analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office software products
- Understanding of core systems, applications and technical platforms
- Experience in the insurance or financial services industry preferred
- Experience as a Product Owner and/or Scrum Master preferred
- Understanding of current technology trends preferred
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical data preferred
- PMI or IIBA certification preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio preferred
