About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and support environments on Azure
- Administer, harden, patch and tune RHEL systems
- Act as escalation for L2/L3 incidents and drive root-cause analysis and permanent fixes
- Debug issues across OS, network, middleware, JVM and database using logs, metrics, dumps and packet captures
- Support Java/Spring Boot microservices and middleware; diagnose JVM memory, garbage collection, thread and latency issues
- Drive security vulnerability remediation across OS, middleware and cloud platform
- Collaborate with Security, SOC and NOC on incident response and post-incident reviews
- Deliver infrastructure as code with Terraform and deployments through GitHub Actions running Ansible
- Own backup, restore testing and disaster-recovery failover readiness
- Participate in a regular 24/7 on-call rotation
- Manage incidents, problems and changes via Jira Service Management
- Maintain runbooks, dashboards and documentation
- Take ownership of an inherited Azure estate, stabilise it and modernise it with AI-assisted and reviewed tooling
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years in TechOps/Infrastructure/SRE/Production Operations
- Strong hands-on Azure and RHEL experience in production
- Proven support of Java microservices/middleware in production
- Strong hands-on debugging and analytical skills
- Advanced Elasticsearch and JVM observability skills
- Hands-on Terraform, GitHub Actions and Ansible
- Python/Bash scripting
- Strong incident management/RCA capability
- ITIL familiarity
- Comfort with 24/7 operations
- Strong communication
- Experience in gaming or another regulated, high-availability digital sector
- Systems administration experience desired
