About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, test, and deploy high-performance Java applications and services
Lead development of enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
Collaborate with architects, business analysts, product owners, and development teams
Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical solutions
Develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party systems and services
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Perform code reviews and security assessments
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues
Optimize application performance, scalability, and security
Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making
Implement CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps practices
Ensure compliance with coding standards, security guidelines, and organizational policies

Requirements

What you’ll need

Active Secret security clearance (eligible for Top Secret)
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
10+ years of hands-on software development experience with Java
Strong expertise in Java 11/17+, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Hibernate/JPA
Experience designing and implementing microservices-based applications
Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and web services
Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ
Knowledge of Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions
Experience developing applications meeting NIST 500-53 and FedRAMP security controls for moderate and high categorization
Experience with Tenable, SonarQube, and OWASP-based best practices
Familiarity with Splunk, ELK Stack, Grafana, or Prometheus
Proficiency with Git and version control systems
Programming languages: Java, SQL, JavaScript
Experience with Maven, Gradle, and Jira
Preferred: experience with Thales Luna HSM, Azure Managed HSM, cryptographic technologies, PKCS#11, JCE/JCA Providers, Key Escrow, Key Rotation, Secure Key Storage, and troubleshooting PKI, certificate, HSM, and cryptographic integration issues
