About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Exercise direct supervision over laborers and craft workers or direct an assigned segment of a project with one or more crafts

  • Manage and motivate the workforce and subcontractors

  • Develop and maintain the Daily Report process
  • Sequence work with subcontractors and vendors
  • Assist with schedule development and adherence for assigned scopes
  • Participate in project layout and engineering
  • Interact with the Project Engineer on RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, and record drawings
  • Follow direction, collaborate with team members, and complete assigned tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • College Graduate with relevant degree
  • Alternatively, Field Foreman with written recommendation, basic safety awareness, supervisory experience, capacity and desire to learn, understanding of basic construction sequencing, and ability and desire to deliver high quality work
  • Alternatively, Field Engineer with written recommendation, ability to keep daily reports, and ability to read and interpret construction documents
  • Fundamental understanding of project documents
  • Ability to interpret construction documents, plans, and specifications
  • Basic understanding of RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, and record drawings
  • Ability to understand and apply the Company Safety Manual and policies
  • Ability to follow Project Leadership requirements
  • Ability to manage and motivate workforces and subcontractors
  • Ability to participate in project layout and engineering
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and complete assigned tasks
  • Ability to identify and learn construction practices and principles
  • Must work under the direction of a Superintendent or higher
  • Ability to perform occasional bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning, and/or lifting
