About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Implement and execute Integra's Crane & Rigging Management System across assigned projects and operations
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for crane, rigging, hoisting, engineered lifting, and material-handling activities
  • Integrate lifting requirements into project planning, sequencing, and daily execution
  • Evaluate crane access, laydown areas, lifting logistics, site constraints, hazards, ground conditions, and lifting demand during project startup
  • Assist with crane selection, setup locations, mobilization planning, and lifting schedules
  • Review subcontractor programs, lift plans, critical lift packages, engineering, certifications, inspections, permits, and approvals
  • Maintain field presence during critical, tandem, blind, specialty, and other high-risk lifts
  • Conduct crane, rigging, hoisting, and material-handling field assessments and audits
  • Verify equipment condition, qualifications, inspections, certifications, documentation, exclusion zones, signaling, and safety controls
  • Stop or pause operations when plans or controls are inadequate or unacceptable SIF exposure exists
  • Track findings, corrective actions, incidents, lessons learned, and program improvements
  • Support incident investigations and Root Cause Analyses
  • Coach operators, signal persons, riggers, inspectors, HSE personnel, and project leadership
  • Track performance metrics and provide data and field intelligence for enterprise KPI reporting
  • Provide day-to-day technical leadership and represent the Cranes & Rigging function in meetings and operational reviews
  • Build relationships with Operations, HSE, Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, Procurement, subcontractors, and crane providers
  • Support staffing and resource planning and escalate significant risks, disputes, constraints, or nonconformance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • NCCCO Certified Crane Operator (or equivalent)
  • Qualified Rigger Certification
  • Qualified Signal Person Certification
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction
  • First Aid / CPR / AED
  • Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in crane operations, heavy rigging, engineered lifting, or construction operations
  • Minimum 5 years leading or directly overseeing complex lifting operations on large industrial, commercial, manufacturing, or mission-critical construction projects
  • Experience reviewing critical lifts, multi-crane lifts, engineered lift plans, heavy rigging, and complex material-handling operations
  • Experience supporting data centers, manufacturing facilities, power generation, industrial construction, modular construction, or similar high-risk environments preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to influence field execution across Operations, HSE, subcontractors, and lifting personnel
  • Knowledge of OSHA Cranes & Derricks regulations, ASME B30 standards, rigging principles, engineered rigging systems, crane load chart interpretation, ground bearing pressure, crane setup, critical lift planning, mobile/crawler/rough-terrain/tower/overhead crane operations, hoists, gantry systems, below-the-hook devices, Human Performance principles, Energy-Based Safety, Root Cause Analysis, contractor management, and field coaching
  • Authorized to work in the applicable country
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to travel up to 50–70%
  • Ability to obtain client-specific site access and security clearances as required
  • Ability to walk extensive job sites, climb ladders and elevated work platforms, access cranes and equipment, and perform field inspections
  • Must be able to wear required PPE and safely access active work areas
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • NCCCO Lift Director Certification, Certified Rigging Professional, and CSP or ASP preferred
