About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead mobilization and demobilization of IT equipment and technology services for construction sites
- Assess site technology requirements and coordinate setup, configuration, testing, and readiness of computers, monitors, printers, networking equipment, connectivity solutions, phones, conference room technology, and accessories
- Travel to construction sites for installations, escalated issue resolution, infrastructure readiness verification, and hands-on technical support
- Develop and maintain site technology checklists, equipment standards, support documentation, and repeatable mobilization procedures
- Serve as the primary field services point of contact for construction teams
- Provide status updates, communicate risks or delays, and coordinate solutions with internal IT resources and external partners
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, connectivity, peripheral, access, and end-user technology issues
- Partner with network, infrastructure, security, applications, and Help Desk teams to diagnose issues, implement standards, and escalate specialized problems
- Work from the DFW office as part of the Help Desk team when not traveling
- Maintain accountability for IT assets, including deployment records, inventory, transfers, replacements, returns, secure storage, and disposition
- Coordinate local contractors and vendors, including scopes of work, scheduling, progress monitoring, and completion validation
- Manage vendor relationships and IT equipment and service contracts, including quotes, purchases or rentals, service delivery, invoices, and performance concerns
- Maintain vendor contacts, service records, asset documentation, and contract information
- Identify recurring field technology issues and recommend operational improvements
- Provide day-to-day guidance and functional leadership for field technology activities
- Coordinate priorities across multiple construction sites and perform other assigned duties and technology initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of progressive experience in IT support, desktop support, field services, infrastructure support, or a related technical role
- Experience coordinating technology deployment or support across multiple locations
- Experience working directly with vendors, contractors, or third-party service providers
- Experience resolving issues beyond entry-level Help Desk support
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet company travel requirements
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, ITIL, or equivalent preferred
- Hands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting end-user devices, peripherals, network connectivity, printers, telecommunications, and common workplace technology
- Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, equipment providers, or third-party technical services across multiple locations
- Experience with IT asset management, inventory control, equipment lifecycle processes, and documentation
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems, endpoint hardware, ticketing systems, remote support tools, and basic networking concepts
- Ability and willingness to work primarily from the DFW office when not traveling and to travel approximately 70% to construction site locations
- Experience supporting remote, field-based, construction, industrial, or distributed work environments preferred
- Contract administration, purchasing, quote review, or vendor performance management experience preferred
