About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of construction projects
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
  • Organize jobs and manage field staff, including scheduling, assigning, and monitoring workplace activities
  • Serve as lead superintendent on smaller projects or for a specific scope on larger projects
  • Initiate project schedules with activities and logical sequencing
  • Review project financial information with Project Management
  • Prepare and update Work Progress Schedules and detailed look-ahead schedules
  • Conduct weekly subcontractor schedule meetings
  • Coordinate varying scopes of work to expedite project progress
  • Develop subcontract scopes of work and bid packages with Project Management
  • Monitor subcontractor performance against drawings, plans, and contracted scope
  • Prepare daily reports and review subcontractor reports
  • Review submittals and shop drawings for compliance with specifications
  • Coordinate and manage change orders, RFIs, and material submittals
  • Develop and execute Zero Accidents (ZAP) and XMOP plans
  • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards
  • Monitor the project site daily and plan for future needs
  • Maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; 8+ years preferred
  • OSHA 30 Hour
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Successful completion of medical physical examination
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
  • Proficiency in development and execution of project schedules
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and project personnel
  • Ability to set and communicate clear expectations and provide feedback and coaching
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with submittals, shop drawings, change orders, and RFIs
  • Knowledge of applicable safety regulations, compliance standards, and safety best practices
