About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of construction projects
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
- Manage job organization and field staff, including scheduling, assigning, and monitoring activities
- Serve as lead superintendent on smaller projects or lead a particular scope on larger projects
- Develop project schedules with activities and logical sequencing
- Review project financial information with Project Management
- Collaborate on Work Progress Schedules and prepare detailed look-ahead schedules
- Conduct weekly subcontractor schedule meetings
- Coordinate scopes of work and expedite project progress
- Develop subcontract scopes of work and bid packages with Project Management
- Monitor subcontractor performance against drawings, plans, and contracted scope
- Prepare daily reports and review subcontractor reports
- Review submittals and shop drawings for compliance with specifications
- Manage change orders, RFIs, and material submittals
- Develop and execute Zero Accidents and XMOP plans
- Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards
- Monitor the project site daily and plan for future needs
- Maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; 8+ years preferred
- OSHA 30 Hour
- Valid Driver’s License
- Successful completion of medical physical examination
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
- Proficiency in development and execution of project schedules
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and project personnel
- Ability to set clear expectations and provide feedback and coaching
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with reviewing submittals, shop drawings, change orders, and RFIs
- Knowledge of applicable safety regulations, compliance standards, and safety best practices
