About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, build, administer, and maintain SAP information systems using virtualization, virtual desktop infrastructure, Linux, Windows, Splunk, and user software
- Ensure information systems are secure, available, and able to obtain and maintain authority to operate
- Prepare and maintain documentation required to secure, operate, and maintain information systems
- Communicate with the IT team and management about issues and resolution plans
- Configure networking equipment including switches, routers, and firewalls
- Assess proposed configuration changes and develop implementation plans
- Participate in change control and configuration management processes
- Ensure configuration changes are documented and implemented appropriately
- Act as Data Transfer Agents using approved Assured File Transfer procedures, as needed
- Assist with management of COMSEC keying material and equipment for multiple locations
- Configure and administer NSA-approved Type 1 encryption devices in accordance with applicable policies and guidelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Final DoD Top Secret Clearance required
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience performing the duties described in the position description
- Must meet IAT II certification requirements, providing certifications, or obtain certifications no later than six months after position acceptance
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows systems
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware or OpenShift
- Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
- Knowledge of Atlassian products such as Jira or Confluence
- Experience with networking products such as Cisco and F5
- Experience administering SAP information systems
- Must work on-site in Patuxent River, MD; telework is not offered
