About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, build, and manage an engineering team
- Direct development of services and infrastructure for a key product
- Develop an inclusive team that empowers people to do their best work
- Mentor, grow, and coach direct reports
- Keep team members engaged and focused on product and company vision
- Partner with Product and Architecture to break down complex projects
- Iterate on project design and implementation
- Turn company vision into a tangible roadmap
- Own and deliver processes that drive engineering quality and meet engineering SLAs
- Provide thoughtful technical guidance on software engineering decisions
- Work with the talent organization to source and hire engineers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Work in the office 3 times a week at Har Hotzvim, Jerusalem
- More than 5 years managing a team of 6+ engineers
- Strong brokering skills and ability to regularly achieve consensus amongst departments
- Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated progressive experience in a leadership role with current technical experience
- Professional experience with containerization or similar technologies in large production environments
- Experience managing infrastructure in a cloud-native environment
- Track record of making measurable and tangible improvements to the business and development lifecycle
- Alignment with company values
- Experience building high-volume and high-throughput distributed systems for product-minded organizations is a plus
- Experience in fintech or other complex financial infrastructure companies is a plus
- Experience working in a global, distributed, or multicultural team is a plus
- Experience scaling a successful SaaS product is a plus
- Computer science education or equivalent experience is a plus
- Experience working in a regulated industry is a plus
