About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support day-to-day operational needs of the Chicago and Texas markets
- Own meeting logistics, agendas, and follow-through for recurring leadership cadences
- Serve as a reliable point of contact across internal teams
- Support practice-level strategic initiatives from kickoff to completion by tracking owners, timelines, and dependencies
- Partner with FP&A, Staffing, and Recruiting on headcount tracking and workforce planning
- Translate pipeline, staffing, and financial data into organized summaries for leadership
- Coordinate market-specific initiatives with Marketing and Business Development
- Support financial reporting and KPI tracking
- Draft and coordinate internal market communications
- Identify operational inefficiencies and propose process improvements
- Provide ad hoc project and research support to Market Leaders and the Chief of Staff team
- Contribute to special projects and firm-wide operational initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5-7 years of experience in a professional services, consulting, or business operations environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to produce clear, professional materials for leadership audiences
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail; able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Comfortable working with data and financial reporting; able to organize and present information clearly
- Ability to operate with limited supervision, take initiative, and follow through independently
- Superior proficiency in standard PC programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools to enable workflow (Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT)
- High energy, collaborative team player with a strong work ethic and a great sense of humor
- Experience in professional services or consulting firms is a plus
