About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and grow the Accounting Advisory practice in the Boston market
  • Lead development and delivery of accounting advisory services
  • Assist with complex transactions, technical accounting implementations, financial reporting, and operational accounting
  • Conduct IPO-readiness assessments and assist clients preparing to go public through S-1 filings
  • Advise on complex accounting policies across US GAAP and/or IFRS
  • Transform finance and accounting functions through process improvements, integration support, target operating model decisions, and RBA/data analytics
  • Develop and implement firm-approved AI-enabled client solutions in compliance with data protection, intellectual property, and professional standards
  • Stay informed about emerging AI tools and identify compliant opportunities with firm leadership
  • Manage client accounts, projects, and engagements, including work plans, staffing, deadlines, fees, budgets, deliverables, and project plans
  • Develop and manage client relationships and ensure responsive, high-quality service
  • Manage, evaluate, coach, and develop teams and individuals
  • Resolve issues, risks, and project team conflicts
  • Generate new and add-on business opportunities and develop new service offerings
  • Provide input on strategic direction and recruit and cultivate talent

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 12+ years of related management consulting experience or a combination of consulting and industry experience
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS accounting standards
  • Ability to advise/research complex technical accounting and transaction issues
  • Big Four or equivalent consulting experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting and business processes
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Success building and developing client relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools
  • Openness to emerging technologies, including AI and automation
  • Ability to work with client management and stakeholders
  • Mentorship and people development capabilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with executive audiences
  • Strong attention to detail and big-picture thinking
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
  • Availability to work at client site or in office at least 4 days a week
  • CPA or CA certification desired
