About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead development and delivery of data, AI, and technology strategy services
- Advise CFOs and CIOs on AI-first data strategies and roadmaps
- Serve as Solution Architect for scalable enterprise data foundations across cloud platforms
- Lead ingestion, storage, transformation, and semantic modeling for a single source of truth
- Design finance data architectures integrating ERP and EPM systems
- Architect AI platforms and agentic solutions and lead finance and operations AI use cases
- Build data foundations for private equity and mid-market portfolio companies
- Define governance, security, and compliance standards; optimize ETL pipelines and design predictive analytics models
- Interview clients, identify root causes, document requirements, and conduct current-state/future-state gap analyses
- Deliver executive-level presentations to CFOs and CIOs
- Develop and implement firm-approved AI-enabled client solutions
- Oversee client accounts, projects, engagements, work plans, staffing, timelines, fees, and budgets
- Lead business development and market services to prospective clients
- Resolve issues, mitigate risks, and address project team conflicts
- Create delivery methodologies, service offerings, and go-to-market programs
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend data infrastructure and analytics solutions
- Manage, mentor, coach, and review team members
Requirements
What you’ll need- Deep, hands-on expertise designing and implementing foundational cloud data environments on Snowflake, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric
- Experience with ingestion and integration, lakehouse and warehouse architecture, data modeling, and data architecture modernization
- Experience building semantic layers, governed metrics, business definitions, and finance data models
- Proven experience partnering with CFOs and CIOs on data foundations, finance analytics, AI solutions, ERP integrations, and EPM integrations
- Experience with AI-ready data models, metadata management, data catalogs, data lineage, data quality and observability, unstructured data processing, vector search, RAG pipelines, role-based security, access controls, and AI governance
- Understanding of Lead to Cash / Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, and Hire to Retire processes
- Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Lean, or Waterfall project management methodologies
- Private Equity experience required, including work with CFOs and CIOs at mid-market, PE-backed portfolio companies
- Excellent presentation and communication skills with executive presence
- Success building and developing strong client relationships
- Experience generating new business, expanding relationships, and increasing bookings
- Experience managing client and/or internal teams
- AI-first approach and responsible adoption of firm-approved AI tools
- Openness to learning and applying emerging technologies, including AI and automation
- Passion for mentoring and leading teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- Willingness to travel up to 30%
