About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver tailored integrated accounting advisory solutions for multinational public companies and fast-growing pre-IPO companies
  • Provide financial reporting support, including reporting-process design, restatement assistance, and 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings
  • Address continuous improvement and optimization of finance and accounting functions
  • Implement new and existing accounting standards
  • Communicate project findings, updates, and recommendations to clients
  • Collaborate with CrossCountry and client team members on business issues and potential solutions
  • Develop and implement firm-approved AI-enabled client solutions in accordance with data protection, intellectual property, and professional standards
  • Stay informed about emerging AI tools and techniques and identify compliant opportunities to enhance client solutions and internal processes
  • Oversee project administration, including project setup and planning, budgeting, account management, and billing
  • Mentor team members through coaching, ongoing feedback, and annual performance reviews
  • Help project teams resolve multifaceted issues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience working with companies in financial reporting, operational accounting, implementing new accounting policy, or complex transactions
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS
  • Transaction-based accounting and reporting requirements, including IPOs (S-1), mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs, etc.
  • Prior experience in professional services (public accounting, advisory firm, or management consulting firm)
  • Strong operational and technical accounting background, including researching complex technical accounting issues
  • Ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools
  • Openness to learning and applying emerging technologies, including AI and automation, in alignment with firm policies and client standards
  • Professionalism and discretion when interacting with executives and clients
  • Experience mentoring and developing team members
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA or CA certification preferred
  • Experience supporting transactions involving mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs, carve-outs, or IPOs preferred but not required
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 30%
