About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as an analyst on audit, risk assessment, control testing, and risk management projects
- Conduct fieldwork, test controls, prepare work papers, and create client deliverables
- Conduct preliminary analyses and assessments of operating units, business areas, or controls
- Perform management walkthroughs and document processes using narratives, flow charts, and risk control matrices
- Evaluate, design, and test internal controls; develop remediation strategies for risk and control gaps
- Participate in engagement planning, budget development, progress monitoring, and quality control
- Develop knowledge of business and operational processes and controls
- Cultivate new client relationships and deepen existing relationships
- Collaborate with CrossCountry and client teams to address business obstacles and create deliverables
Requirements
What you’ll need- A working knowledge of risks and internal controls
- 3+ years of prior experience in professional services (public accounting, advisory firm, or management consulting firm)
- Excellent written and verbal communications and analytical thinking skills
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
