About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct independent, in-depth, loan-level Servicing Compliance Testing and Validation testing using defined testing scripts
Use appropriate subsystems and applications, leveraging guidance from SCTV Lead, Supervisor, and Manager as needed
Evaluate testing results to identify process or control weaknesses, gaps, or potential non-conformance
Document findings in the system of record
Review testing results with designated testing partners
Communicate testing results with relevant operational lines of business and determine finding dispositions
Ensure testing and tracking systems contain required testing-result descriptions, documentation, and rationale
Identify valid exceptions and ensure they are rated, documented, and reviewed with business representatives
Calibrate with operational partners to identify and document process or control gaps and actionable remediations
Conduct gap assessments and support remediation planning when consensus cannot be reached
Perform discretionary testing and report results to SCTV Lead, Supervisor, or Manager
Maintain knowledge of audit scope, loan criteria, servicing activity, systems, documentation, and regulatory requirements
Maintain responsibility for meeting RoundPoint’s compliance commitment
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years mortgage servicing experience
Experience identifying or evaluating mortgage loan servicing exceptions or control gaps
Experience auditing loans, including reviewing loan files for accuracy, compliance with regulatory and investor requirements, and adherence to internal policies and procedures
Experience researching and evaluating complex transactions or issue resolution requiring multiple systems and applications
Experience identifying and testing compliance and control-related activities
Thorough knowledge of mortgage servicing activities and associated compliance requirements
Familiarity with MSP and associated systems
Skill in working collaboratively with others
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to independently prioritize and complete assignments while meeting reporting requirements and established deadlines
Excellent time management and organizational skills to manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines
Skill in navigating testing scripts and question trees, interpreting requirements, and evaluating whether actions taken were appropriate
