About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing LLC
- Deliver data solutions throughout the full lifecycle, including development, testing and deployment
- Maintain the enterprise data warehouse
- Build and maintain data pipelines
- Optimize database environment performance
- Automate data processes
- Monitor, diagnose and troubleshoot data ingestion failures and performance bottlenecks across enterprise pipelines
- Work with the Data Architect and Tech Lead to translate requirements into scalable and maintainable data solutions
- Partner with Business Analysts to clarify functional requests and business intent
- Collaborate with Reporting Developers and analytics teams to structure performant data models, tables and views for downstream consumption
- Navigate ambiguous requirements and solve complex data flow challenges with minimal oversight
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years proven experience
- Deep understanding of relational database design principles, normalization, index strategies and schema optimization
- Experience designing, building and maintaining enterprise ETL/ELT processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Advanced SQL mastery, including writing, optimizing and tuning SQL queries, stored procedures and database objects within relational databases
- Hands-on data engineering experience focused on data ingestion, pipeline development and analytical workflows
- Strong understanding of data modeling and data governance best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to resolve data-related issues
- Equivalent experience in development life cycle of projects lasting longer than two years, requirements gathering, business and technical designs, development, quality assurance, deployment, support and documentation may be accepted in lieu of education
- Comfort with a Microsoft SQL business intelligence environment
- Familiarity with financial and/or mortgage servicing data, preferred
- Experience with Active Batch scheduling software, preferred
