About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Join project teams as a security expert and advisor for product improvements and new products
Influence the design and capabilities of endpoint protection products, focusing on endpoint sensors
Create and update threat models to drive security decisions
Read and review application source code for security flaws and vulnerabilities
Attack endpoint applications with kernel components, primarily before production
Work with developers to explain problems, risks, and design weaknesses and identify solutions
Build tools and automation for security work
Validate and replicate certain bug bounty reports and hunt for similar issues in affected applications

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of experience in engineering, ideally in security
Experience programming in or assessing security of C/C++ apps for Linux
Proficiency of system internals and security features for Linux
Comfort with concurrency considerations in multi-threaded applications
Understanding of the security implications of containerization and virtualization
Working understanding of software creation and delivery in Agile/DevOps-like environments
Solid understanding of common software weaknesses affecting endpoint and client/server applications
Comfort collaborating across technical teams
Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes
Rust & Go programming experience is a bonus
Experience with debuggers like Ghidra, IDA Pro, or similar tools is a bonus
Application security automation experience is a bonus
Threat modeling experience, especially STRIDE, is a bonus
Application penetration testing experience is a bonus
Reverse-engineering, malware analysis, or related security research capabilities are a bonus
Must maintain legal entitlement to work in Canada
