About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain Android applications focused on performance, security, responsiveness, and user experience
Collaborate with business analysts, alliances/channel teams, backend engineers, and stakeholders to deliver features and enhancements
Write clean, maintainable Kotlin code using best practices, design patterns, and architectures such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, and MVI
Conduct unit, instrumentation, and UI testing with Espresso; debug applications
Optimize performance, memory efficiency, and compatibility across Android devices, screen sizes, and OS versions
Participate in code reviews and mentor team members
Troubleshoot and resolve performance, crash, ANR, functionality, and third-party integration issues
Integrate backend services using secure RESTful APIs
Stay current with Jetpack Compose, Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, Hilt, Material Design, and Android best practices
Contribute to effort estimation, sprint planning, and architectural decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar work experience
Minimum of 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in a directly related area
Strong proficiency in Kotlin with hands-on experience using Android SDK and Jetpack (Compose, ViewModel, LiveData, Room, Navigation)
Knowledge of activity/fragment lifecycle, intents, services, broadcast receivers, permissions, background tasks, and notifications
Experience with Gradle build system, Android Studio, and Google Play Store provisioning and signing
Experience with Salesforce concepts such as Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce platform capabilities, integration patterns, and responsive and accessible UI components highly preferred
Familiarity with Jira, Coupa, MuleSoft, and Salesforce Experience Cloud is a bonus
Ability to work independently and as a team player, using discretion in decision making and sound judgment in problem solving
Excellent analytics, organization, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills, written and oral
Ability and desire to quickly learn new skills and technologies
Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes
