About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and build data-first UI surfaces, including schema exploration, lineage, query, semantic modeling, dashboards, and interfaces around the Data Platform Concierge
Contribute to and extend a shared component language across Data Platform surfaces
Partner with UX, backend, and platform engineers to turn platform primitives into self-service consumer experiences
Improve frontend engineering practices across testing, build and deploy pipelines, component architecture, and accessibility
Mentor engineers and act as a design-review partner for customer-facing surfaces across the Data Platform group

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong proficiency with TypeScript, ES6+, and modern JavaScript patterns for large-scale applications
Strong working knowledge of at least one major JavaScript framework (React, Vue, Angular, Ember, or similar)
Experience building reusable UI components with the Web Components API and Lit or similar declarative component libraries
Hands-on experience with charting/visualization libraries such as amCharts, D3.js, or similar, and building interactive dashboards
Solid grasp of component architecture patterns, dependency injection, state management, and modular design in large codebases
Experience with modern build tools such as Vite or Webpack, package managers such as pnpm/npm, and monorepo architectures such as Nx or Turborepo
Familiarity with frontend CI/CD using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bitbucket Pipelines, or similar
Comfort operating in a fast-moving, multi-repo environment using Git/version control workflows
Relentless pursuit of simple, intuitive user experience and design, especially for technical audiences
Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes
