About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead backend engineering efforts from rapid prototypes to large-scale applications across CrowdStrike products
Leverage and build cloud-based systems to detect targeted attacks and automate cyber threat intelligence production at global scale
Collaborate with members across multiple teams to brainstorm, define, and build solutions
Champion new technologies and techniques while raising the team's technical expertise
Mentor and be mentored on web, backend, data storage technologies, and the system
Continuously improve architecture, knowledge models, user experience, performance, and stability
Own work autonomously in a high-trust environment
Design, build, and scale foundational services orchestrating data, content, and execution logic across CrowdStrike products
Build performant, scalable, and resilient platforms processing internet-scale data streams and enabling real-time detection generation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Computer Science (or professional experience in data structures/algorithms/distributed systems)
Understanding scalability and distributed systems, including sharding, partitioning, and concurrency
Thorough understanding of engineering best practices, testing paradigms, peer code reviews, and resilient architecture
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, test-driven, collaborative, and iterative programming environment
Ability to meet commitments on time and produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration
Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes
Experience with Go (Golang) or C++
Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Kafka, Git, Cassandra, Docker, and Redis
Bonus: contributions to the open-source community
Bonus: prior experience in cybersecurity or intelligence
Bonus: experience designing or implementing programming languages and/or compilers
