About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide administrative support to the administrative team and tax group
  • Create Caseware files for new clients and roll forwards
  • Draft engagement letters and enclosure letters
  • Print and assemble tax packages and process e-returns
  • Prepare T4, T5 and NIL returns
  • Conduct quality reviews of outgoing correspondence for accuracy, completeness and appearance
  • Prepare and submit forms to the Canada Revenue Agency
  • Prepare and follow up on work in progress and full-cycle invoicing
  • Maintain complete confidentiality when handling sensitive documents and issues
  • Maintain databases including Dynamics365, Caseware and Mavenlink
  • Set up, transmit and obtain information from the client portal and file accordingly
  • Perform mail merges and work with Word and PowerPoint templates
  • Organize and coordinate internal and external meetings
  • Liaise with internal departments professionally
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly effective organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with strong prioritizing and follow-up skills
  • Ability to cope in a deadline-driven environment
  • Proven editing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Available to work moderate overtime
  • Must be able to work with numbers
  • Ability to understand basic accounting
  • Microsoft Office Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Access and Outlook
  • University Degree or College Diploma an asset
  • Minimum 2 years of administrative experience in a professional environment preferred
  • Experience at an accounting firm an asset
  • Knowledge in Caseware/Caseview would be an asset
