About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead accounting advisory engagements from scoping through final delivery
  • Manage engagement objectives, staffing, timelines, budgets, risks, quality, and client communications
  • Advise senior finance stakeholders and present practical recommendations
  • Coordinate clients, engagement teams, auditors, and other stakeholders
  • Research and analyze complex transactions and apply relevant accounting guidance
  • Prepare technical memoranda and other client-ready deliverables
  • Advise on purchase accounting, SEC and financial reporting, accounting standard implementation, audit readiness, and remediation
  • Evaluate, design, and implement improvements to accounting and finance processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, data quality, and decision support
  • Monitor accounting, regulatory, and industry developments and translate them into client guidance
  • Supervise, coach, and develop engagement team members
  • Support proposals, presentations, recruiting, thought leadership, service development, and business-development activities
  • Identify emerging client needs and opportunities to expand relationships

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • At least five years of relevant experience in accounting advisory, technical accounting, financial reporting, corporate finance, or recent public accounting external audit
  • Active Certified Public Accountant license
  • Demonstrated experience leading engagements and developing accounting professionals
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities while maintaining quality, accountability, and effective stakeholder communication
  • Strong analytical, project management, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to travel up to 30% annually based on client and business needs
  • Public accounting or accounting advisory experience serving clients across multiple industries preferred
  • Experience with complex transactions, purchase accounting, SEC reporting, accounting standard implementation, audit readiness, or finance transformation preferred
  • Experience supporting business development, proposals, presentations, recruiting, or market-facing thought leadership preferred
