About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead end-to-end Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations implementations and transformation programs
  • Own or oversee functional workstreams across requirements, process design, configuration, testing, data migration, integrations, deployment, and stabilization
  • Conduct business process assessments, fit-gap analyses, solution reviews, and design workshops
  • Translate business, finance, and accounting requirements into scalable D365 Finance & Operations solutions
  • Develop and review functional designs, solution blueprints, configuration documentation, test strategies, and training materials
  • Ensure solutions align with D365 capabilities, implementation methodology, security requirements, reporting needs, and client objectives
  • Provide subject matter expertise across general ledger, financial dimensions, accounts payable and receivable, cash and bank management, fixed assets, budgeting, financial reporting, intercompany accounting, expense management, and revenue recognition
  • Advise clients on finance operating models, process improvements, internal controls, and ERP-enabled transformation
  • Partner with technical architects and integration teams on solution architecture
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, resources, and deliverable quality
  • Lead cross-functional implementation teams
  • Establish governance routines, status reporting, issue escalation, decision management, and quality controls
  • Coach and develop consultants and contribute to consistent delivery practices
  • Support proposal development, estimates, statements of work, solution demonstrations, and client presentations
  • Serve as a senior client-facing advisor to CFOs, controllers, finance leaders, business process owners, and IT stakeholders
  • Facilitate workshops and communicate complex functional, accounting, and technical concepts
  • Identify process improvement, solution optimization, and future-state capability opportunities
  • Oversee conference room pilots, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, defect management, and business readiness
  • Lead or support data validation, cutover planning, deployment readiness, and go-live execution
  • Coordinate training, documentation, change management, and knowledge transfer
  • Provide leadership during post-go-live stabilization and continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in ERP implementation, finance transformation, consulting, or related client-service environments
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations implementations
  • Demonstrated expertise in D365 Finance functional processes and solution delivery
  • Experience leading implementation workstreams, project teams, or complex client engagements
  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes and their translation into ERP functionality
  • Experience with requirements gathering, process design, configuration oversight, testing, data migration, integrations, training, and go-live support
  • Strong project management, communication, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel based on client and engagement needs
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 Project Management & Accounting preferred
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 Asset Leasing or other lease accounting and lease administration solutions preferred
  • Knowledge of ASC 842, IFRS 16, GASB 87, or related lease accounting standards preferred
  • Experience with D365 Finance fixed assets, budgeting, revenue recognition, intercompany accounting, financial reporting, or advanced financial dimensions preferred
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance certification or related Microsoft certification preferred
  • CPA, CA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification preferred
  • Experience in consulting, public accounting, or a Big Four environment preferred
  • Experience leading large, global, or multi-workstream D365 programs preferred
  • Experience with presales, proposal development, solution demonstrations, estimates, and statements of work preferred
  • Experience in professional services, construction, real estate, government, healthcare, manufacturing, or other project- or asset-intensive industries preferred
  • Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States
