About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform and manage consulting projects for financial services clients
  • Consult with clients on model risk management practices
  • Provide model validation services for credit risk, finance, and treasury management models
  • Supervise, train, and review the work of other consultants
  • Manage key aspects of client service projects from planning through completion
  • Advise client management by providing recommendations and solutions
  • Build and sustain meaningful client relationships
  • Support proposal and business development activities
  • Identify target clients and build relationships with key executives
  • Develop and present proposals
  • Monitor industry trends and client challenges to develop new services and solutions
  • Direct and deliver significant engagements through project management, deliverable creation, and knowledge transfer
  • Manage engagements to ensure quality and delivery within budget
  • Conduct engagements frequently remotely

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Financial Engineering, or Economics or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years’ experience working in financial institutions, Big 4 or equivalent, or regulatory supervision of financial institutions
  • Working knowledge of model risk management regulatory guidance (SR 11-7, OCC 2011-12, FDIC FIL-22-2017)
  • Knowledge of credit risk model types, including CECL, PD/LGD, Roll Rate, Scorecards, and Stress Testing
  • Knowledge of other model types, including Asset Liability Management, Pricing, and Mortgage Servicing Rights
  • Direct experience performing model validations or model development
  • Knowledge of back testing, stress testing, sensitivity testing, and benchmarking
  • Technical knowledge of data processing, data storage, and data visualization
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, research solutions, and work resourcefully
  • Ability to write and present clear, concise client reports and presentations
  • Ability to lead and manage a team
  • Ability to manage engagements within quality and budget expectations
  • Ability to travel, with travel generally not expected to exceed 25%
  • Professional certification preferred, such as RMA CRC, CFA, or FRM
  • Experience with statistical packages such as SAS, Matlab, Stata, Python, and R
  • Experience with database management, such as SQL
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, and QlikView
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning trends
  • Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States
