About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers in the assigned region
  • Identify and assess customer needs to achieve satisfaction
  • Build sustainable relationships through open and interactive communication
  • Provide accurate, valid, and complete information using appropriate methods and tools
  • Handle complaints and provide solutions or alternatives within the required timeframe
  • Follow up to ensure complaints are resolved
  • Maintain records of customer interactions, process customer accounts, and file documents
  • Resolve customer complaints via phone, email, or mail
  • Place orders, process refunds, and manage invoices
  • Research customer late payments
  • Interact with multiple people to complete tasks
  • Monitor inventory
  • Work as part of a team on projects
  • Enter data into Excel, Word, or the AS400 system
  • Work closely with the sales team
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Report directly to the Customer Service Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent
  • 1–3 years in a Customer Service role
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Attention to detail
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to work professionally and effectively with internal and external customers at various levels
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt to change and demonstrate urgency in work habits
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and potentially balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
  • Close, distance, and color vision, with ability to adjust focus
