About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical assistance to specified customers using Crown’s products
- Ensure customer filling lines operate safely and efficiently
- Advise on can filling line safety, can handling, filling, seaming, and drying
- Perform regular seam checks at customer plants
- Repair, maintain, and overhaul can seaming equipment
- Make improvement recommendations
- Comply with government regulations to maintain product and company reputation
- Respond to customer assistance requests and provide support during unplanned hours
- Conduct proactive customer visits to analyze double seam results and perform independent checks
- Support customer cost-reduction programs
- Produce reports and documentation on customer, competition, market, and product trends
- Identify opportunities to provide customer personnel training
- Manage technical-assistance expenses within budget
- Provide engineering technology support during line trials for customers, Bevcan factories, or the Beverage Business
Requirements
What you’ll need- Qualified engineer
- Minimum 3 years of industrial experience
- Ideally, knowledge and experience of double seaming
- Quality and customer-oriented mindset
- Commercial and continuous improvement awareness
- Safety mindset
- Problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- PC literacy
- Ability to relate to people at all levels, with customers and internal teams
- Fluent Spanish and English
- Flexibility and willingness to travel frequently, often at short notice
- Experience of training delivery would be an asset
