About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own SCADA governance and drive the scaling strategy for deploying SCADA across modular, colocation, and hyperscale data center projects
- Define standards and levers for consistent data structures, operational data, and telemetry
- Own tag naming taxonomy and govern interfacing with the control layer across assigned SCADA deployments
- Guide version control system usage across active projects and protect configuration integrity
- Draft and maintain governance documentation covering tagging, version control, and vendor standards
- Partner with engineering peers to develop project-flexible approaches that maintain deployment standardization
- Validate that governance frameworks and technical approaches are implementable by vendor field workforces
- Serve as SME for escalated or ambiguous documentation and governance questions
- Raise the technical bar by sharing knowledge and perspective with peers
- Provide direct vendor support during escalation events and First of Kind deployments
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of experience in mission-critical or related critical industrial control systems environments
- Deep mastery of the Ignition SCADA platform and version control systems as applied to industrial control projects
- Strong familiarity with hosting methodologies including containerization and orchestration alongside bare-metal deployment
- Fundamental understanding of server hardware and topologies
- Extensive knowledge of Modbus TCP/IP / RTU, BACnet IP / MS/TP, EtherNet/IP, and working knowledge of IEC 61850 and related IO protocols
- Working familiarity with OT/ICS security fundamentals, including the Purdue model and secure remote access practices
- Ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to internal and external stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Relevant experience with hyperscale portfolios, OT security controls, Linux, containerization, industrial networking, and relevant industrial cybersecurity or SCADA certifications are bonus qualifications
- Estimated 25% travel availability
