About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide tools and means to ensure the physical and logical integrity of information and protect it against unauthorized access
- Develop systems and design/architect protection systems
- Analyze, document, oversee, and implement information technology projects, also acting as a Project Manager
- Pursue continuous improvement of processes and procedures
- Guide information security analysts through knowledge sharing and support
- Research and implement new information security technologies, procedures, and equipment
- Participate in meetings, committees, training sessions, events, and workshops
- Analyze security requirements for processes, systems, and infrastructure and recommend improvements
- Manage contracts with suppliers and service providers
- Keep information security processes and equipment up to date
- Monitor and administer the IT environment, including system performance, network resources, databases, and the operating environment
- Identify vulnerabilities, intrusions, intrusion attempts, security gaps, and improper use of resources
- Provide specialized advice and guidance to users and employees
- Support security analysts with more complex processes
- Comply with internal policies, compliance requirements, and occupational health, hygiene, and safety standards
