About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and maintain efficient, scalable data systems on Google Cloud Platform
Develop and maintain architecture in the Google Cloud environment for data ingestion and transformation
Understand the challenges and needs of requesting business areas
Map the required data and its sources
Map data movement across Data Lake layers and the required transformations
Create dimensional models for data relationships
Develop and test data pipelines, ensuring accurate delivery
Document business requirements, technical aspects, and tests
Follow data governance guidelines, including data quality and privacy
Apply DataOps practices
Work using agile methodologies with a strong team focus
Manage the third-party data engineering team and, in the future, internal team members

Requirements

What you’ll need

Education: Bachelor’s degree completed
Advanced SQL skills for data exploration, processing, and preparation
Experience building analytical dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio
Knowledge of infrastructure as code, such as Terraform
Professional certifications in data-related fields, particularly data engineering
Experience with Big Data and Advanced Analytics environments, using Apache tools such as Spark, Airflow, Beam, Hadoop, and Hive
